Simulacrum Splinters are special sub-currencies in Path of Exile 2 that unlock the iconic Simulacrum encounter—an intense Delirium wave-defense challenge with high rewards.
Farming Simulacrum Splinters:
Simulacrum Splinters drop from monsters affected by the Delirium fog in Tier 11+ maps and higher-level zones, typically where monster level is 75 or above. The splinters drop randomly from fog-possessed enemies, with drop rates boostable by atlas passive skills focused on Delirium and Simulacrum rewards. Efficient farming involves running high-density maps with Delirium modifiers, such as Burial Chambers or Strand.
Collecting Splinter Quantity:
You need to collect 300 Simulacrum Splinters to craft one Simulacrum item. Utilize atlas passive points that increase Splinter drops to speed this up. Running multiple maps and focusing on Delirium encounters is the best way to gather enough splinters.
Crafting Simulacrum Access:
Once 300 splinters are collected, combine them to create a Simulacrum item. This item is the “key” that opens access to the encounter.
Entering the Simulacrum:
Place the Simulacrum item in the Realm Gate on the Atlas. This opens portals to the Simulacrum encounter zone, such as the Clearfell Lumbermill area. Entering these portals launches the 15-wave Delirium challenge.
Simulacrum Challenge:
The encounter features successive waves of delirious monsters and powerful Delirium bosses. Each wave increases in difficulty but also rewards higher-quality loot, crafting materials, and currency. Players need strong area damage and defenses to survive and maximize rewards.
Rewards and Progression:
Completing the Simulacrum grants unique rewards and progression points within the Delirium passive tree, further enhancing farming and crafting capabilities.
Farming and collecting Simulacrum Splinters, crafting the Simulacrum, and entering the wave survival encounter unlocks some of the richest rewards and most challenging gameplay Path of Exile 2 offers. Collecting 300 Simulacrum Splinters allows players to craft a Simulacrum item, which can be placed into the Realm Gate on the Atlas to open portals to the Simulacrum encounter zone, such as the Clearfell Lumbermill. This encounter pits players against 15 waves of increasingly difficult enemies and bosses, with better loot and crafting materials awarded for surviving each wave.
Using atlas passive points that boost Simulacrum Splinter drops and optimizing map modifiers further increases farming efficiency. The Simulacrum encounter requires strong area damage and solid defenses due to the dense monster waves and powerful modifiers.
Turning Simulacrum Splinters into epic Delirium encounters involves focused farming of splinters in high-level Delirium maps, crafting the Simulacrum item, and tackling the wave-based challenge for substantial rewards and Delirium progression points. This makes Simulacrum one of Path of Exile 2’s most rewarding endgame activities. |
