Despite its savage effectiveness, the method of crafting it is only the beginning.

Janus Towers themselves redefine map layout. Instead of sprawling halls, you move through cramped labs, rubble-strewn reception areas, high-tech offices, and secret corridors, all strewn across multiple interconnected towers. Traversing it requires mastering anti-gravity launchers—devices that create g‑rails allowing for midair jumps and soaring twists across levels. There are also teleporters, enabling instant relocation and rewarding spatial awareness.

Gravity anomalies throw another wrench into your tactics. Bullets arc unpredictably. Zombies drift upward or down in waves. You may find yourself floating helplessly or blasting enemies midair. These mechanics explode the conventional Zombies format.

Enemies are no less unforgiving. Uber Klaus, the armored nightmare, surveys the map as a brutal obstacle. Undermining its armor reveals a new phase—one where hover thrusters, energy beams, and impenetrable defenses redefine the battle. Meanwhile, Kommando Klaus suicide bots rush en masse with explosive desperation, while familiar undead faces—including experimenters and security officers—add horrifying depth to every encounter.

Strategic placement and timing matter when deploying C.A.S.T.E.R. Turrets. These automatic wall turrets fire heavy pulses of Dark Aether energy, leveling or thinning hordes on command.

Story beats weave through the gameplay. At one dramatic point, players restart a particle accelerator and purge hazardous Aetherium crystals from coolant paths. Destroying all twelve crystals in a low-gravity chamber causes a disruption that renders gravity unstable—perfect for drifting toward a floating Pack-a-Punch machine and upgrading weapons mid-air.

From that moment, objective markers disappear. Players must rely on intuition, exploration, and cooperation to unearth the plot’s conclusion. The lack of directed prompts adds tension, making every discovery feel earned.

Rewards add a tangible edge to the triumph. Completing the main quest early grants exclusive cosmetic gear—"Blood, Sweat, an’ Gears" skin, a bespoke Weapon Charm, multiple Calling Cards, and an XP bonus. Those who finish before mid‑season's Directed Mode unlock a unique Calling Card variant to memorialize their swift victory.

Ultimately, Reckoning throws out the traditional Zombies playbook. Vertical traversal, fluid gravity, mechanized bosses, and enigmatic environmental challenges craft a gauntlet that tests both reflexes and resolve. Its brilliance lies in the relentless pace, layered obstacles, and satisfying conclusion to Black Ops 6 Zombies. To survive Reckoning is to master chaos—both physical and metaphysical.
