And if they still did sprinkle small and moderate updates around the massive updates, there was a lack of significant updates after them in comparison to the Osrs gold prior release cadence. By Way of Example, after Kebos, 2019 really didn't have anything but QoL until the Clue Expansion in April and Hosidius Rework in May, then Forthos and SotE in July with nothing until Exiles at Sept and BH and Leagues in Nov..
So it was not due to a shortage of developers because they produced more upgrades with fewer Devs.
It had been the shift to creating bigger releases rather than dispersing them . By way of instance, Kebos might have been divided with Farming Guild, Brimstone/Konar, Aerial Fishing, the Quests, and also the Diaries all being separate upgrades over months rather than one massive upgrade, but they chose to pack it all together even if that meant their were not many devs left to move stuff around it.
Then there's the issues of ground textures, where they are being extremely lazy with it. This happens in many other locations and only looks really lazy.
You think they would remember their lesson after the initial exploit, where players only got unlimited exp and Buy Rs gold exp bonuses. The next exploit for money was just as simple and untested as the first one, from what I understood. The Yak Track tasks that essentially force bonds usually wind up being construction. |
