Fireguardians Season Mechanics

The Fireguardians season mechanics are essentially a redesign of the Rift mechanics in Path of Exile, bringing them to the level of recent versions and incorporating elements from Path of Exile 2. In the 3.27 update, the new Rift mechanics integrate encounters into different areas, no longer limited to the traditional "siege warfare" model. Rest assured, the new Rift mechanics retain their simplicity and appeal! New Ascendancy Option: Bloodline Classes!

Bloodline Classes are a brand new Ascendancy option in the Path of Exile: Fireguardians season. Bloodline classes can be combined with core Ascendancy classes to unlock more gameplay options. This new mechanic is a major highlight of this season.

Bloodline classes function similarly to a typical Ascendancy tree. Points are spent to unlock new nodes and gain powerful affixes. However, Ascendancy points are shared with Bloodline classes, so you can only allocate 8 points to unlock nodes for both the base Ascendancy class and Bloodline class. This limits your choices; but we believe everyone can find a build that suits them. Bloodline classes will appear late in the game. You'll need to defeat late-game bosses and experience the class's mechanics in the Arena to unlock Bloodline classes.

New Skills and Support Gems

POE 3.27 introduces Skill Gems, the first new gems since patch 3.23! While this new system brings new gameplay, its gameplay is still limited by core skills. However, we can still use it to develop some novel playstyles.

In the "Flamekeeper" update, the developers didn't introduce new shapeshifting abilities to strengthen the recently somewhat weak ranged combat gameplay, as previously planned. Instead, they added wand and bow skills, as well as support gems. These changes open up more avenues for innovation in the game. Of course, everything still relies on PoE currency; more currency means we can experiment better and progress more in the game.

Clearing Maps or Defeating Bosses?

POE: Fireguard adds many new skill and support gem options, broadly categorized into two types. One focuses on clearing maps, with wide-area skills that meet the needs of most players. The other sacrifices skill range for higher damage output, making it more suitable for challenging high-difficulty bosses. This will further enrich new playstyles.

Asynchronous Trading

Asynchronous trading first appeared in PoE 2 and was finally implemented in the "Fireguard" update. Now, we can use a special tab to customize selling prices. Buyers also have more options.
