EA FC 26 Patch 1.0.2 addresses a variety of gameplay, AI, Career Mode, and stability issues to improve the overall experience based on community feedback from the Closed Beta.
In gameplay, the patch tunes Low Driven Shots to be less accurate when fired with extreme power, making scoring more skill-based and realistic. Attacking AI improvements include more frequent attacking runs by wingers, better offside awareness among teammates, and wing backs maintaining better positioning by not dropping too deep when in possession. Defensive AI also sees enhancements with center backs marking more centrally and full backs transitioning smarter to defense to maintain team shape. Additionally, various passing issues like overly accurate difficult driven passes and unexpected heavy touches in wet conditions have been fixed.
The goalkeeper user interface was updated with a new dive indicator showing shot direction, and camera pan inputs were adjusted for better ergonomics and to avoid button conflicts. Be A Goalkeeper mode is set to receive more ongoing improvements.
In Career Mode, a critical bug causing players to inappropriately leave the club while simming through the calendar has been fixed. This ensures squad stability throughout simulated seasons and reduces player frustration. These stability updates are especially important for players managing clubs long-term while also trying to stretch resources—something similar to how players manage budgets with FUT 26 Coins.
Ultimate Team fixes include resolving issues with multiplayer co-op invites, misaligned player portraits on the squad screen, and stability improvements after onboarding. The smoother functionality also means players can focus on team building and gameplay instead of interruptions, which is crucial when investing in progression or even strategies like trading with FC 26 Coins.
PC players benefit from fixes in display settings when using Borderless mode to avoid performance drops, as well as better controller input recognition. Various stability and crash issues across platforms were also addressed.
Patch 1.0.2 brings essential gameplay tuning, smarter AI behaviors, important Career Mode bug fixes, and smoother UI and performance to ensure a more balanced and enjoyable EA FC 26 experience. More updates are expected as developers continue refining the game post-launch. |
