|

Following the closed beta of EA SPORTS FC 26, EA has outlined a clear and community-focused patch plan aimed at responding to player feedback and improving the game experience from launch onward.
One of the top priorities has been addressing the balance issues surrounding low driven shots. During the beta, goalkeepers were perceived as inconsistent against these shots, often allowing too many to score. EA has worked to optimize goalkeeper reactions to make saves more realistic and balanced, ensuring this shooting technique is powerful but not overpowered.
AI behavior was another major focus. Players reported that AI attackers struggled with timing their runs, frequently going offside or missing open spaces. Defenders, meanwhile, sometimes appeared unnaturally fast or intelligent, disrupting the flow. EA is updating AI decision-making to improve attacking positioning and timing, making AI teammates and opponents feel more natural and challenging in matches.
Dribble touches received particular attention, especially in the Authentic gameplay preset with wet weather conditions. Players found dribbling sometimes awkward, with the ball pushed too far ahead. While fixes are planned, these will come through live tuning updates after launch to refine ball control while maintaining realism.
Other improvements include reducing delays in AI decision-making for passing, enhancing the responsiveness of goalkeeper modes, and tweaking shot selection so AI players take smarter chances. Contract renewals in Career Mode have been made more predictable, providing clearer manager feedback about player status.
For Ultimate Team fans preparing their squads, these updates will matter immediately when competitions begin. With FUT 26 Coins for sale in the player market and FC 26 Coins for sale becoming highly sought after at launch, many will take advantage of faster progression to adapt to the refined gameplay balance.
EA’s post-beta patch strategy shows a clear commitment to refining core gameplay mechanics—goalkeeping, AI behavior, ball control, and responsiveness—before early access begins on September 19. Ongoing monthly updates will continue to tune the game, with the goal of delivering a balanced, immersive, and fair football experience from launch on September 26 and beyond.
This approach highlights EA’s dedication to community-driven development, using player insights from the beta to shape the final product and future updates, promising a polished game that listens to its players. |
