|
|
Farm Bastion Cells fast in ARC Raiders with Blue Gate loops, leg-shot tactics, and Hullcracker bursts to unlock Gear Station Level 3 and craft top-tier mods with less risk.
Late in ARC Raiders, progress slows to a crawl for one simple reason: Bastion Cells. If you want Gear Station Level 3, you need them, and there's no cute shortcut around it. That's why so many players either start farming harder or look for ways to keep their loadouts stable through places like U4GM when they're short on time and still need solid gear support. The actual source of the cells is the same for everyone, though. You have to bring down Bastion ARCs, and those things don't mess about. They hit hard, they soak damage, and if you stand in the open for even a second too long, you're done. Most kills give around three or four cells, sometimes a bit more if luck swings your way, so a couple of clean runs can already push you toward a serious upgrade.
Best solo route
If you're playing solo, Blue Gate is usually the safest call. Not easy, exactly, but manageable. The nice part is how repeatable it feels once you know the angles. Dropping near Outer Gates gives you access to some tight corridors where the Bastion AI gets a bit clumsy. Peek, fire, back off, then bait it closer. You don't need to be flashy. You just need to not panic. The space under the Headhouse dome also works well because the pillars break sightlines and let you move without eating a full burst to the chest. A lot of players ignore the woods by the Maintenance Bunker, but that area can save your run. If a fight starts going sideways, dip into the trees, reset the line, and come back from another side. After that, loop the same path every few minutes and extract south if you want to refresh the pattern.
Faster duo farming spots
With a duo, the whole pace changes. Stella Montis is the obvious high-risk pick, and yeah, it can get messy fast, but the farming speed is hard to beat. Bastions tend to roam around the medical section and the central ruins, so if you move quickly and split aggro well, you can drop one before another team even figures out where the shots came from. Buried City is another strong option, especially if you like close urban fights instead of long peeks. Around the Hospital and Town Hall, the lanes are tight, grenades land where you expect, and you're less exposed than you are in wide terrain. Spaceport can work too, mainly around the Rocket Assembly area, but that place feels great right up until someone on high ground starts picking you apart.
What to bring and how to fight
The most reliable tool for this farm is still the Hullcracker shotgun. It's pricey, sure, but it saves time, ammo, and failed runs. Bring enough Launcher Ammo and go for the yellow leg joints first. That's the part newer players often miss. Don't tunnel vision the core too early. Break the legs, slow the machine down, then shift onto the red weak point when it's struggling to reposition. If you can't afford the ideal setup, you can patch together damage with Ferro chips and C4, but it feels rough and takes longer than most people expect. Smokes matter too. The moment a Bastion drops, throw one before you loot. A lot of deaths happen after the kill, not during it, because people get greedy and stand still over the wreck.
Keeping the haul safe
The smart play is simple: secure the cells before you start dreaming about the next upgrade. The second you loot them, stash at least three in your Safe Pocket and stop acting like the raid is already won. It isn't. Extraction is where plenty of good runs get thrown away. If you stay disciplined, keep your route tight, and focus on leg damage first, the grind becomes way less painful over time. Players who want to speed up progression even more often keep an eye on ARC Raiders iteams while planning builds, because having the right kit ready before a farming session can make the whole loop smoother and a lot less punishing. |
