Belial Encounter Basics

Belial serves as an Exalted Lair Boss, summoned via prior lair completions on Torment 1+. Victory guarantees one Ancestral Unique, with the highest Mythic Unique odds among lair bosses, plus Infernal Hordes Compasses. Groups scale extra Uniques by 33% per player.​

The ambush variant triggers randomly after any Initiate or Greater lair hoard chest, dropping the original boss loot plus 2-4 Husks—no extra materials needed. This mini-Belial tests evasion against blood/poison bursts, rewarding quick clears with Husk stockpiles.​

Husk Activation and Loot Selection

Post-Belial defeat, interact with the glowing altar and spend two Husks to open his Hoard. Unlike fixed tables, choose any other lair boss’s loot pool—target Grigoire for Penitent Greaves or Beast in Ice for Ring of the Ravenous—for the first guaranteed Unique. Additional drops split 50/50 between that pool and general Uniques, with uber affixes prevalent.​
