There was an issue with his license considering he'd just retired from the NBA at the conclusion of the 2K21 MT 2017-18 NBA season.It appears the Argentine could be coming back for NBA 2K21.
We obtained our first hint that Ginobili might be coming back to 2K from the MyTeam blog. Executive Producer Erick Boenisch wrote the following passage in the section dedicated to the new IDOLS series:"Our very first IDOL was missing in action for NBA 2K20, however we are eager for his return this season, naythe following month!"

In the MyTeam builder at the demo for its current-generation version of NBA2K21, Ginobili is cited as a possible player contrast for certain archetype builds.If Ginobili is going to be in the match, he will almost certainly be included in MyTeam. It seems like he could be the very first Pink Diamond card at the mode this year.
Ginobili would likewise be a shoo-in for its classic San Antonio Spurs teams from the match in addition to the franchise's all-time squad. It would be a great time to bring Ginobili back in.
